GaGa's Diary

Peering, out of the curtains, a sea of heads marched across the floor. Standing in utter amazement, I saw the crowd waving around glow sticks. It was an incredible sight! Looking around, people were cheering my name. The pressure was on! Butterflies were fluttering around my stomach as I picked up my bass guitar.

Stepping onto the stage, nerves filled my head. My heart was pounding like the drum Rock Star was already playing. Sweat was pouring down my body. All I could hear was the crowd cheering. Meanwhile, I started to play a few notes just in case. Pixie Flame introduced us to the crowd. Rock Star, then Star Rock, followed by me, GaGa, and finally Pixie Flame herself. Suddenly, the drum started playing and I knew now it was my time to shine.

Several hours later, I was stepping off the stage, surprised at how well it went. At the same time, I was a little sad it was over! What an amazing day!

GaGa

Louise Gana (GaGa) was born in England in 1988. Her Mum – Joanne - worked as a fashion designer and her Dad - Barry worked as a banker for HSBC. Louise was an only child; consequently her parents spoilt her very much! They gave her anything she wanted. Luckily, that didn’t affect they way she acted.

At the age of 6, Louise started playing the piano, although she soon realised that was not her talent. After a while, Louise had tried the violin, trombone, tuba, flute and finally the drums. Surprisingly, not one of those instruments she could play. A few years later, she tried the bass guitar she was okay at playing it, but the main thing was she loved playing it! Once she had more practice, she eventually got the hang of it. Several years later, she was performing at fairs and charity shops.

In 1992, she attended Larkfield Primary School in England. School was very difficult for Louise because she struggled with her subjects, in particular her writing. Consequently, from the age of 5 -16, Louise had a tutor and went to Kumon, which is a learning class to help you improve. Her earliest memory at Primary School was when she was in year 2 and she was doing a Christmas show and she burst out crying right in the middle of it when it came to her part. Little did she know at that point that later in life she would learn to love the stage!

Louise really enjoyed Larkfield Secondary School; mainly because that was where Louise met her amazing bass guitar teacher, Edward Hayman. Later on in the first year of high school, she had already improved in her subjects. On the weekends Louise liked going to the Hall of Strings, which was a music theatre with only string instruments, such as, the bass guitar, guitar, violin, double bass, viola, harp and many more. Louise liked to listen to the music of the bass guitar. Louise’s earliest memory at secondary was when she was listening to music while in the middle of the lesson and got in massive trouble and it was only on the first week.

In 2006, Louise went to Oxford University and studied music. Although, upon graduation in 2009, she did not get a job in the music industry playing like she’s always dreamed of; although she did get a job at a music shop! Working there made Louise feel like she was missing out on recording her own music, so she quit her job and started playing for charities and volunteered for events!

In 2010 Louise finally got her dream! She met the other band members in Triple O’s. Rickie, (Star Rock) Louise, (GaGa) and Mia (Pixie Flame) were sitting eating hamburgers and discussing their music, when she overhead them talking about their need for a bass guitarist! Subsequently, Louise seized her moment and two months later, The Winged Weasels were formed!

Currently, they are preparing for their first tour in Asia, where they had their first big hit: Broken Dreams!

Rock Star

Rock Star (real name Jim Taylor) was born on 1991 in Wimbledon, England. His mother was called Catharine and she worked as a clothes designer, and his Dad was called Mike and he was a banker. Also he had 2 sisters, one called Hannah and another called Claudia.

Rock Stars earliest memory was when he got his first play drum set, when he was two years old. Each day, after preschool, he went straight to his room without even getting a snack to eat and play on his little play drum set. His drum set was red - his favourite colour!

Rock Star didn’t mind school, but like all children they would rather stay at home and watch TV instead. Rock Star wasn’t good at any particular subject at school but he certainly wasn’t the worst either! The only subject he truly enjoyed was music and that was mainly due to his music teacher (Mr Taylor) and his amazing drumming skills.

However, Secondary School was hard for Rock Star. Mainly because he was always in trouble, and he found exams very hard, which resulted in him often failing!

In 2007, he got a job as a waiter at TGI Fridays. The reason why is because he loved the brownie, popcorn, caramel sauce and ice cream. He loved working there because it gave him lots of time to play the drums. Rock Star also spent his time trying to find bands that needed a drummer!

In 2010, Rock Star finally got his dream! He met the other band members in Triple O’s. Rickie, (Star Rock) Louise, (GaGa) and Mia (Pixie Flame) were sitting eating hamburgers and discussing their music, when he overhead them talking about their need for a drummer! Subsequently, Rock Star seized his moment and two months later, The Winged Weasels were formed!

Rock Star’s band has been very successful since that day. They are now getting ready for there first tour starting in Hong Kong! Their hit song is Broken Dreams that sold wildly across the globe!

Pixie Flame

Pixie Flame, who was named Mia Elizabeth Konn at birth, was born on October 15th 1991 in the Matilda Hospital Hong Kong. She had a Mum, (Joanne) a Dad, (David) and a little sister (Ana). Coincidently, her parents both worked in the fashion industry. At the age of three months, suddenly Pixie and her family moved to Southend in Essex. Consequently, her younger sister was born in England, where they lived on the sea front in a cottage named ‘Sunny House.’ It had an amazing garden, with a view of the sea. Pixie also liked to work and sit in the garden.

Pixie’s earliest memory was when she was 4 and her dad bought her a guitar. At first she didn’t know what it was, but then her dad explained to her that it was an instrument. Her Dad (who wasn’t that much of a musician) taught her how to play it and over the years her family saw her passion for music grow!
When Pixie was four, she attended Southend Primary for girls. Aswell as music, she liked art and creative writing. One day after school she heard the school choir singing and decided to become a member. This would be the start of many great performances.

In 2001, she moved to Woodwell Secondary School. Although there was music, art and creative writing still, she never liked her high school experience! When she wasn’t at school, her spare time was usually spent painting, sitting in the garden or looking at CD’s.

After what seemed like decades, school was over for Pixie in 2006 and she got an apprentice with an artist. She worked hard for a man named Mr. Jones; who was always encouraging her to go further with her art work. He was very sad when after 4 years of studying art she had to give up and persue her dream of being a rock star.

In 2010, Pixie’s finally got his dream! She met the other band members in Triple O’s. Rickie, (Star Rock) Jim, (Rock Star) and Louise, (GaGa) were sitting eating hamburgers and discussing their music, when she overhead them talking about their need for a singer! Subsequently, Pixie seized her moment and two months later, The Winged Weasels were formed! Ga Ga played the bass guitar, Star Rock played the lead guitar and finally Rock Star was the drummer.

Currently, they are getting ready for their first tour of Asia. Their hit song is called Broken Dreams, which has sold widely across the globe!

Star Rock

Star Rock, was born in north east of England November 16th in 1991. He was very poor, his dad (Mike) worked for a clothes manufacturer, he was very high up, but didn’t get paid a lot. His mum (Lynne) didn’t work at all. Star Rock also had a brother, Harry, and two sisters, Lauren and Joanne.

Star Rock’s first memory was when he went to his first gig with his whole family. When the band got to the chorus they pulled him up onto the stage and asked to sing and play one of the band member’s guitars. It was at that moment that he knew he wanted to be a star!

At first, Star Rock was home schooled because his family couldn’t afford to send him. However, he didn’t have a good education! Consequently, at the age of 8 his mum signed him up for a local primary school because his dad got a raise so they could now afford it. Star Rock thoroughly enjoyed school and used to come home each night and tell his family all about what he had learned that day. One day his music teacher (Mr. McCredie) brought his guitar in; it was called the Gibson Les Paul. The music teacher let all the kids have a go at playing on it! He also let the children borrow it sometimes. They had to choose a card and if it was green, it was their turn to use it! Star Rock still remembers the day it was his turn! Three years later, Star Rock had some sadness in his life. His favourite music teacher had died suddenly of a heart attack! From that moment on he decided he would practice the guitar so he could make Mr. McCredie’s memory live on!

In 2002, Star Rock started Secondary School. It was a lot different. School work was a lot harder. Plus, he has to stay in school for another hour every day! However, every week he still goes down to Mr. McCredie’s grave and he plays the guitar that he gave him.

In 2007, he leaves school and gets a job in a garage as a car fixer. He gets paid $350 per week. He passed his test and moved out! He still has his guitar and practices all day, everyday in the hope of one day finding a band to play with.

In 2010, Star Rock finally got his dream! He met the other band members in Triple O’s. Jim, (Rock Star) Louise, (GaGa) and Mia (Pixie Flame) were sitting eating hamburgers and discussing their music, when he overhead them talking about their need for a drummer! Subsequently, Rock Star seized his moment and two months later, The Winged Weasels were formed!

Star Rock’s band has been very successful since that day. They are now getting ready for there first tour starting in Hong Kong! Their hit song is Broken Dreams that sold wildly across the globe!
